Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model as well as an animal rights activist in the US. Ali MacGraw is well-known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The desire to become an artist was inspired by her family background as a member of a New York family of artists. After working as assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to acting and modeling. Her two first films got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international hit, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After just three short films she was deemed one of the most successful women at the box office in history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw has married thrice.
